TRAINING :
Training will be conducted in the ETI premises as well as local destinations in Tamil Nadu when required.
Training will be conducted for 9 months in a year (June to February) in accordance with annual Training Plan.
Training in ETI will be need based, Continuing Training Needs Assessment (TNA) will be the basis for the development of training courses for all the target groups.
The TNA will also be used to priorities training programmes that are likely to have the most significant impact on environmental performances.
To support the process of protections, conservations and harmonizing environment with development ETI training will take up following major aspects:

Introduce the concept of holistic appreciation of ecology, environment and development |

Introduce the basic theories, concepts and methodologies of integrated environmental planning and management aiming at sustainable development. |

Promote public awareness and motivation to preserve and protect the environment through NGOs |

Create cross-media awareness in industry, urban sector and the public on environmental hazards and adverse impact on quality of life. |

Pollution Control at source by introducing training in cleaner technology and improved processes of materials and products. This includes conservation of non-renewable resources, resource recovery, refuse recycling and disposal of minimum waste to the environment |

Improve environmental management capacity in the sectors of industry and urban development |
 |
Develop the ability among professionals to communicate their specialized knowledge and skills clearly to other experts and to the public |
